Welcome to our new PhD researcher: Ana Paula López Minchán

We are glad to welcome our new PhD researcher Ana Paula López Minchán to our chair. Ana Paula is part of the International Doctoral Programme on Business and Human Rights at FAU and joined the Chair of International Business, Society and Sustainability in November 2025. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Environment and an MSc in Water Resources Management from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.

Ana Paula brings experience in academia (research and teaching) as well as strong engagement with civil society organizations, particularly in the fields of extractive industries, ecofeminist movements, and critical approaches to development in Peru. She also has experience in social innovation grounded in user-centered research. Her PhD project, “Governing Mineral Supply Chains: Human Rights and the Role of Mining Companies in Latin America,” explores how formal and informal governance arrangements shape mineral supply chains in Peru from a historical perspective. Through her research, Ana Paula aims to bring local perspectives and dynamics into business and human rights debates.

Welcome to the team, Ana Paula!
