The Cluster of Excellence "Transforming Human Rights", funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), will investigate the transformation of human rights in light of five interrelated global megatrends:1) Autocratization, 2) Fragmented economic globalization, 3) International migration, 4) Planetary environmental crises, and 5) Digitalization. Professor Almut Schilling-Vacaflor is one of the Principal Investigators (PIs) of the Cluster of Excellence. Her research will focus on human rights protection in the context of fragmented economic globalization and rights-based approaches for transforming planetary environmental crises.
