Workshop: “From Consultation to Meaningful Engagement: Global South Perspectives on HRDD Research and Practice”

The workshop will explore practical methodologies for centring Global South perspectives in human rights due diligence (HRDD), with a focus on stakeholder engagement, grievance mechanisms, equitable partnerships, and bridging academic research with practice.
The workshop will be carried out by Dr. Sanchita Banerjee Saxena, who is a leading scholar in the field of Business and Human Rights (BHR), working at the intersection of social sciences, policy, and corporate practice. She currently serves as Academic Fellow at the Berkeley Center for Law and Business and Faculty Fellow at the Institute for Research on Labor and Employment (IRLE), UC Berkeley.
Participation is limited to 20 attendees. Fifteen places are reserved for FAU researchers; the remaining spots are open to participants from external universities.
